Sam Gilliam serves as Director of Finance with more than a decade of experience in industries ranging from collegiate athletics, construction, to corporate finance.

As the rare extroverted finance professional, he specializes in using a partnership-centered approach to encourage transparency, trust, and collaboration between finance and all other arms of the business.

Prior to joining Blueprint Sports, Sam served as a Finance Business Partner at Mars Incorporated, where he oversaw more than $160 million in spend annually across two manufacturing sites and delivered a $2.3 million turnaround in site performance. He previously held finance leadership roles at Vanderbilt University, managing more than $272 million in capital projects. Earlier in his career, he supported financial operations for collegiate athletic departments at Texas Christian University, Vanderbilt University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and University of Tennessee. Sam holds an MBA in Finance from Texas Christian University and an Accounting degree from the University of Tennessee.
